Last month, I had a domain for sale on an auction - couldn't figure out why someone sent me an "offer" without going through the system.

Then I was even more surprised when he offered a ridiculous amount. I knew it wasn;t worth anything like that amount. Plus the spread was crazy. 6K -10K

Nobody negotiates like that. In asking around, I found out that these scammers send emails in the hopes that you will buy their appraisal services and you never see them again. They get your money and you get nothing.
