Well it is funny you mention this sale. I just went to buy a bunch before I came to this forum.

I figured I would spend $100 today. I wanted to buy names that I would use on websites that I sell. But then I found out that Go Daddy does not allow a transfer within the first 60 days of the registration. So it kind of blew my idea out of the water.

But for the price, I think I might register some anyway and get my own sites up and running and indexed.

Don't forget that the ICANN fee goes on top of the 99 cent registration fee so that promotion is somewhat misleading.

Yeah there's a fee so it will make $1+ per .info. But its still a great deal, isn't it?

Hi,

The first 60 day no transfer out rule applies to ALL domain Registrars- not just GoDaddy. It's an ICANN rule.

You can't transfer out but you can transfer within Godaddy.

So you could still sell the website with the domain.

Although the domain cannot be transferred out in the first 60 days, you can transfer the domain (push the domain) to another GoDaddy customer's account. It's quite easy to do.

hi tricolorro - are you sure about the push - the reason I ask is that is what I planned to do - I really just want to push them to another person's go daddy acct.

But I have been looking on the other domain name forums and the "big guns" are saying that go daddy is not allowing that for the .info

I emailed support but have not rec'd an answer yet.

Do you see that documented on go daddy;s website - thx for the help
