Would this be a copyright issue if you build a fansite with the celebrity name on the domain?

It is always a copyright or trademark issue when you take someone's name and profit from them.

But lots of celebrities do not always see it as a bad thing. I guess some sites are good publicity for the celeb.

I would think if the site was positive and not being used in a derogatory or offensive fashion, they might not care to do anything.

Yeah, I actually found a lot of fansites with a domain of a celebrity and they have stayed for several years.

I never heard of any celebrity who can after a site because his or her name is in the site's domain.

i have a domain with single words in the name of single world celebrity. com is person's official site and i have info domain. will i get trouble in future if prepare site similar to person's field.

I think its okay to use celebrity names its not there real names anyway. It wont bother them I guess, it gives credit to them instead.

using some ones name will always cause problems if they fined out even more so if there are a celebrity.
