Tag Cloud Sites

What is your opinion on developing unused domains and turning it into a tag cloud site? If you sell 50 cents per link on a tag cloud site, you might even end up getting up to $50. Do you think it's a good idea?

I don't know if they are as popular anymore. I bought from a guy that had a good name and was promoting heavy. Problem was I bought 3 and another guy bought 2 and then no-one has bought since so I am not sure about them anymore.

What I prefer to do is place tags on website with keywords and then sell those tags to someone.

Yeah.. that is true. But if your domain have some PR and it's just worth a few cents, I think it's also going to be a little bit hard to resist buying tags. I agree that links from these sites are not that as attractive though.

You're right about that. I still look and I don't think it can hurt any to buy the tags.

I just think it is not something I would want to start up a website. I think it would have a tough time now but who knows - there are still lots of niches out there and I wonder if it might be good to start one in a specific niche.
