Default .info's and spam

I am almost glad I missed out on the 99 cent .info fad. I think it reeks of spam.

At the time, I thought it was a good deal for legit webmasters but now I think they will be seen in a poorer light.

I just spent the last hour filtering out all the .info spam from my adsense ads. Not only are the sites garbage just filled with sponsored results and no content, they even lie in the ads.

The ads say they are one thing but when you go to the site, it is another. I now am going to flag all .info's because it takes to much time to look at them all and syphon out the legit sites.

It is too bad the spam has ruined it for the good ones.

It is really weird, too, because the other day, I was curious about some "competitor" sites on my website so I went to check them out. Normally if it is a good, honest website, I will leave it but what REALLY got me was - several, of these info sites advertising through adwords and being served on my site were NOT even websites.

They were parked pages:

1. I thought parked pages were not allowed to be advertised. It was against the TOS for the parking company??

2. I thought google themselves were not allowing this. I thought that was part of that whole arbitrage ban thing???

There were close to 10 being served on one of my sites and I am really p**** that it would be permitted.

any ideas??
