Default ease of htaccess files

I used to name my pages .shtml so that I could process virtual includes so I could use a common header, footer and menu.

Then I found that with one line in an htaccess file, I could still use html files and process frequently changed areas of my website.

This is the handiest thing I have ever done. I use it for all my ads now as well.
